1944.
Naissance à Bannalec. Fils d’un horloger qui exerce conjointement le métier de photographe. Born in Bannalec. Son of a watchmaker who also worked as a photographer.
1960-1964.
Passe quatre années à l’école d’horlogerie d’Anet à Dreux (28). Spends four years at the clock-making school of Anet in Dreux.
1965-1966.
Service militaire à Sigmaringen (RFA) où il crée et anime un photo-club. Military service in Sigmaringen (FRG) where he creates and runs a photo club.
1963 et 1966.
Deux passages en formation chez Félix et Nicole Le Garrec, photographes à Plonéour-Lanvern. Two training sessions with Félix and Nicole Le Garrec, photographers and movie-makers in Plonéour-Lanvern.
1967-1973.
S’installe comme photographe à Pont-Aven, 2 rue Paul Gauguin. Très vite reconnu pour ses portraits. Aborde ensuite des exercices de style sur la lumière, la matière et le cadrage et travaille sur deux thèmes principaux: Galets et Paysages menacés. Commence à la même époque un reportage qui durera plus de 30 ans sur le Pays Bigouden.
Becomes photographer in Pont-Aven. Very quickly recognized for his portraits in Paris. Practices and improves his technique on light, material and framing and works on two main themes: "Pebbles" and "Threatened Landscapes". At the same time, he starts a 30-year reportage on the Bigouden country.
1973.
S’installe définitivement à Bannalec. Settles permanently in Bannalec.
A partir de 1974.
Reportage sur l’univers des personnes en situation de handicap physique au centre Kerpape à Plœmeur. Reportage on physically disabled children at the Kerpape healing center in Plœmeur, Morbihan.
1979.
Création du groupe Sellit. Cette association de photographes travaille sur des thèmes communs : Bretagne, île, marée noire, le Blavet. Creation of the group Sellit. This association of photographers works on common themes: Brittany, islands, oil spill, the Blavet river and pollution threat.
1980.

Résidence d'artiste à Douarnenez : conserveries, Gras, et monde de la pêche, travail qui le quittera plus. Residency as an artist in Douarnenez: he photographs canneries, the Douarnenez carnival. Discovers the fishing industry and a lasting interest in this subject.

Tout en continuant ses recherches et reportages sur les îles, le Pays Bigouden, le monde rural, le monde maritime, se lance dans un long travail de recherches et de reportage autour de deux axes : les lumières en Bretagne, campagnes et rivages, et la liaison terre / mer, des sources, des rivières, des fleuves bretons jusqu’aux embouchures.
